If you are reading this, I am assuming you love your pet just like family. I know I do, and for many of us the relationship you have with your pet is one of the single most important relationships we have. I will help to create beautiful artwork of you and your best friend. This artwork is something that you will cherish for many years to come.

My name is Karrie and I have always wanted to be a photographer. When I was young

I aspired to be a National Geographic Magazine photographer. Animals have always been a passion for me. I took photography classes, worked as a photographer's assistant and spent many active hours in photo labs until one day I took a job for a woman who was a professional pet photographer. In those days nobody ever thought about doing pet photography and her portraits were very beautiful and formal. She traveled throughout the United States photographing dogs and their families creating beautiful memories. Life took me away from my passion for a while but I never forgot about those beautiful portraits. I have had dogs my entire life and worked as a pet nutritionist for over 15 years. I understand dogs' behavior and can read their body language. This helps me bring out the best in your dog during their photo session, and yes, I love having the family involved by getting in the portraits as well! Capturing the love between you and your pet brings me so much joy.

All Sessions include:

An easy pre-session phone call to help you and your pet prepare for the very special day. Many times the photo session feels more like a "playdate" instead of a portrait session. I try and make the day fun for both you and your pet.

After the session and all editing have been completed I will invite you to come to the Preferred Pet Portrait Studio for a portrait viewing and design consult. You will be shown your portraits, photo samples and photo ideas for your home or office. You will then be sent an on-line link so you can view your portraits in the comfort of your home. There is no pressure to purchase and make decisions at this time.

All products are ordered separately ~ session fees do not include digital images
